Why did you join Drama Society?
Drama Society played a huge role in my life during my second year and gave me a safe space to explore my creativity and cultivate my image as an artist. I have made some of my closest friends through it! I wanted to be a part of the Team so I could help create a wonderful and fun environment for other students interested in theatre to take a leap of faith and explore their talents just like I did!
I'm looking most forward to...
I am beyond excited to see the new shows and events for the season being bought to life by amazing and talented students. I also cannot wait to see new students join and engage in our UTSC theatre community!
What do you enjoy outside of school, clubs, and work?
I enjoy reading books, specifically fiction and murder mystery. I love having movie nights with friends and listening to music while walking down the Valley trail!
Can you give some advice to students looking to get involved?
Do not hesitate! It is completely understandable to be nervous when stepping into a new environment. However, If you want to be a part of our events and shows the best thing you can do is show up! There is no harm in trying out new things and just give it your all. Consider the entire process as a learning experience and Drama Society is a great place to take risks and start your journey!
What is your favourite theatre show or play?
I watched Matilda: The Musical this summer, and it was one of the most engaging and funny shows I've ever seen. The cast was SPECTACULAR! 100% recommend
